Fundamental Obedience is an 8-week group class that builds real, reliable skills your dog actually understands, starting from the ground up.
Most dogs who struggle with obedience are not stubborn. They are confused.
They have never been shown what the words mean, what the expectations are, or how to succeed consistently. If your dog ignores you, pulls on the leash, or only listens when you have a treat in your hand, this class is where that changes.
Fundamental Obedience teaches the skills every dog needs to be a good partner at home and in public. You will learn how to communicate clearly. Your dog will learn how to respond reliably.
The training is reward-based and built on clear communication. You are not just teaching behaviors. You are building a relationship where your dog understands what you are asking and wants to do it.
Group classes are a standalone offering. They are not part of the SK9 Membership program. You can enroll in a class on its own, without any ongoing commitment.
This class is right for you if:Over 8 weeks, you and your dog work through a structured progression from the ground up.
Marker training, engagement, sit, down, and loose leash foundations. You and your dog learn how to communicate.
Stay, place, impulse control, recall, and leave it. Your dog starts choosing the right behavior even when distractions are present.
Distraction training, polite greetings, settle, and public manners. Training moves out of the classroom and into life.
Distance work, reliability under pressure, and a final skills demonstration. You leave with a dog you trust and a clear picture of where to go next.
Eight weeks. Clear communication. The foundation your dog deserves.
