You already see it — the smarts, the personality, that spark. Boise dog trainer Neo Blake specializes in turning everyday dogs into confident, camera-ready talent for acting and modeling. It starts with a free casting call.
You don't need a purebred or a Hollywood connection. You need someone who can see what your dog is capable of — and a plan to get them there. Most owners never find that, so the spark just… fades into the daily routine.
Every year that potential goes untapped is a year you don't get back. Let's not let that be your dog.
Casting directors don't hire the prettiest dog — they hire the one that stays calm, focuses on its handler, and takes direction on a chaotic set. That's exactly what the Scentsible Method builds.
So forget what you think disqualifies your dog. Mixed breed? Goofy? Bouncy? Those dogs get booked every day. Character beats pedigree on camera — and every skill that matters is trainable.
"Set work is just advanced focus. We teach dogs to tune out chaos and lock onto their handler — the exact skill a busy film set demands."
— Neo Blake, Scentsible K9 Dog TrainerI'm Neo Blake — a Boise-based dog trainer who specializes in training dogs to act, model, and perform. I know exactly what it's like to look at your dog and just know they're capable of more.
My Australian Cattle Dog and service dog, Pepper, is living proof of what's possible — a working service dog and performer, and how I learned exactly what it takes to get a dog camera-ready. As a trainer with Scentsible K9, I help dogs find purpose, confidence, and a real outlet through relationship-based training.
Whatever your dog's "thing" is, my job is to help you find it — and put it in front of the camera.

Yes. The casting call and audition are completely free. If your dog is selected and you choose to enroll in set-ready training, that's a paid program — but there's zero obligation to apply or audition.
Absolutely — that's the whole point. We're casting for potential and temperament, then we do the training. Most of our talent starts with nothing more than good basics.
Local and regional commercials, brand photoshoots, social media content, print ads, and film/TV work as opportunities come in. We submit graduates as gigs become available — placement is never guaranteed, but training makes your dog bookable.
All of them. Mixed breeds are very much encouraged. Casting needs vary wildly, and trainability matters far more than looks.
