You already see it. The smarts, the personality, that spark. Boise dog trainer Neo Blake specializes in turning everyday dogs into confident, camera-ready talent for acting and modeling. It starts with a free audition.
Your dog might have exactly what it takes. The spark, the smarts, that personality you already see. But potential only goes somewhere when someone knows how to spot it and has a real plan to grow it. Most owners never find that, so the spark quietly fades into the daily routine.
Every year that potential goes untapped is a year you don't get back. Don't let that be your dog.
The dogs that get booked aren't the flashiest. They're the ones that stay calm, focus on their handler, and take direction on a busy set. That is exactly what the Scentsible Method builds.
So forget what you think disqualifies your dog. Goofy? Bouncy? Full of personality? Those dogs get booked every day. The focus and polish are what we teach.
"Set work is just advanced focus. We teach dogs to tune out chaos and lock onto their handler. It is the exact skill a busy film set demands."
Neo Blake, Scentsible K9 Dog TrainerI'm Neo Blake, a Boise-based dog trainer who specializes in training dogs to act, model, and perform. I know exactly what it's like to look at your dog and just know they're capable of more.
My Australian Cattle Dog and service dog, Pepper, is living proof of what's possible. She is a working service dog and performer, and training her taught me exactly what it takes to get a dog camera-ready. As a trainer with Scentsible K9, I help dogs find purpose, confidence, and a real outlet through relationship-based training.
Whatever your dog's "thing" is, my job is to help you find it and put it in front of the camera.
Titled: AKC Community Canine (CGCA), Urban CGC (CGCU) & Trick Dog Intermediate (TKI).
Experience: service work, tricks, frisbee, modeling & creative projects.
We don't train in a bubble. Pepper and our dogs work in the exact places a set demands: busy parks, pet-friendly stores, downtown sidewalks, and live shoots. Field trips are where set-ready focus is actually built.
Apply through the form below. Any breed, any age. Takes two minutes and it's completely free.
Selected dogs come in for a short, low-key audition so Neo can see focus, motivation, and temperament in person.
Get camera-confident in the real world: marks, stays, prop work, and reliable cues under pressure. We train on field trips to busy parks, stores, and sets using the Scentsible Method, not just a quiet room.
Graduates join the SK9 Talent Roster and are submitted for paid commercial, print, social & film work.
No breed checklist. No perfect resume. Just the four things we look for, and grow from there.
Can your dog tune into you when there is a lot going on? That is the whole game on set.
A dog that lights up for food, a toy, or praise will happily work for the camera.
Curious about new people, places, and sounds, or ready to grow into it with the right plan.
Willing to try, learn, and try again. Every booked dog started right here.
Dogs of any breed, size, or background, from six months and up.
Food- or toy-motivated and eager to engage with their person.
Comfortable around new people and environments, or willing to get there.
Owners ready to commit to the training process and have some fun along the way.
Free to enter. Neo reviews every submission personally and reaches out to the dogs he'd love to audition.
Yes. The audition is completely free. If your dog is selected and you choose to enroll in set-ready training, that's a paid program, but there's zero obligation to apply or audition.
Absolutely, that's the whole point. We're casting for potential and temperament, then we do the training. Most of our talent starts with nothing more than good basics.
Local and regional commercials, photoshoots, social media content, print ads, and film/TV work as opportunities come in. We submit graduates as gigs become available. Placement is never guaranteed, but training makes your dog bookable.
All breeds and mixes are welcome to apply. Casting needs vary wildly, and what we're really after is trainability and temperament, not looks.
